Application Tips - Applications and Deadlines

Rush University participates in NursingCAS, AHCAS, CASPA, CSDCAS, OTCAS, HAMPCAS and DICAS for ease of applying and processing applications. These centralized application services provide online applications and allow you to upload required documents to manage your application digitally.

There are five steps to apply to Rush. These CAS's will guide you through these steps:

  1. Choose your Program Designation. There are many program options for non-nurses and nurses.
  2. Submit your Transcripts. Official college and university transcripts should be requested before beginning your application and sent directly from each institution to CAS
  3. Start your Online Application. You are required to submit personal information (social security number is NOT required), academic history, supporting information, and program materials.
  4. Submit your Completed Application and Required Documents. A completed application includes your online application, resume or CV, three letters of recommendation, and the transcripts that you’ve requested be sent directly from each institution to CAS. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee for the generalist entry master’s program and $70 non-refundable fee for all other programs.
  5. Complete Rush’s Supplemental Application (if requested). Once you’ve submitted your application to CAS, you’ll receive a brief Rush University supplemental application. Complete and submit this application with the $40 supplemental application fee.

Deadlines

To receive full consideration for admission, all applications, accompanying documents and fees must be received by the posted deadline for your designated program.

Check your personal application page on the CAS application portal to monitor that your transcripts and recommendations were successfully transmitted. Rush admissions staff will also be working with you to ensure that your application is complete.
